If by congress you mean the house, then maybe, but Phil Gramm is more than qualified to handle any questions concerning the economy, or the money matters facing our country.

I'll give Phil Gramm the benefit of the doubt, but I'll wait for confirming evidence. There was nothing in that debate to indicate his mastery one way or the other. That was a spitting contest to see who could twist that piece of fiction known as the U.S. Budget to best serve their political ends.

BTW, I make no claim to special economic expertise, and for all I know there are many people in Congress who are capable of discussing economics intelligently. However, with the exception of Rep. Paul, the witlessness exhibited by those members of Congress whom I have heard discussing economic topics has been astounding.
