Scott, I thought we were discussing how to caculate the results for the NEXT contest!

It being the 6'th and all, I had thought that the results had been announced ages ago.

Use whatever method it says in the rules.

Oh - oops!

"I do not have the resources to use average price
or any other method."

Maybe we can all pitch in for a calculator. ;)

Scott, I kinda thought it would be hard to use the last bid. . .
The last transaction price will have to do. . .

The value of the portfolio on the closing date will just be slightly overvalued because the Asking price is invariably used as the closing price.

On the major exchanges, non OTCBB, the spreads are normally small and would not make a big difference;
however, OTCBB stocks normally have wild / large spreads that could very easily distort the true value of any portfolio.

ergo, OTCBB stocks should not be allowed. (in future contests)

I'll bet it's a big job validating all of those portfolios. . . pricing them is the easiest part isn't it?

Thank you,
Joe

Could you please just price the portfolios at today's close, and let us throw-out two stocks that we don't like any more? :)
