Ummmmm .... assuming Yahoo's info is correct, how do they pay dividends greater than their earnings ?

It's a trust unit. They pay out based on royalties received.

I also noticed most of them head down after the distribution, so for most of them it seems best to buy a few days after.

AET'u-T missed it at 11.05 right after the payout :-(

Chris,

you might want to look at these royalty trust tickers:

NCN and ERF. I believe ERF is the same entity as EIF_U.TO

NCN has both gas and oil holdings. I believe ERF is weighted heavily toward NG.
