slave,

Can anyone confirm that claim that AZNT just witnessed their 253rd arrest?..Has anyone been arrested in conjunction with short selling AZNT?

You're joking, right?

To the best of my knowledge, no one (none, zilch, nada, zero, the big goose egg) has been arrested (to date) with regards to any transactions involving AZNT. There have been plenty of civil law suits (and in fact, the recent SEC action against AZNT and selected AZNT principals, past and present, is currently civil, not criminal), but no criminal cases, and I follow the AZNT saga fairly closely.

What little there has been involving criminal actions, centers around individuals of questionable repute being arrested (and in some cases imprisoned) for alleged illegal activities in the market having nothing whatsoever to do with AZNT. While it may be true that AZNT (at one time) had some involvement with some of these people, the factors leading up to their criminal cases were for actions involving entirely different companies. Certain people in the midst of AZNT problems may have extremely vivid imaginations, and therefore are prone to making claims that a reasonably prudent person would find dubious at best, and preposterous in the extreme.

Perhaps if you add up all of the arrests in the SEC's 5 major "sweeps" to date, you'll find a number extremely close to 253. If the numbers come up short, then simply add in all of the major actions taken by Mary Jo White (US prosecutor in NYC), and you'll probably come close to 253. I think you likely get the picture I'm trying to paint.

I found that letter to shareholders from Medina(?) umm... let's say interesting. I'm not a shareholder, nor am I short Medina stock, but even little ole me found some glaring inconsistencies, some unverifiable claims (as regards the AZNT references, assuming that the unnamed company was indeed AZNT), and some totally meaningless and useless "statistics" and "chart" references presented to shareholders in a manner designed as "proof" of the existence of a major short position. A very slick production, and one that I am sure has the sheep flocking to the pens to be sheared... Just my opinion, though...

Best wishes to you...

KJC
