And I read today that a refinery was forced to shut down in California because their power provider shut down because PGE and/or SCE didn't pay for the power they took. California already has a shortage of gasoline.

Those California politicians are something else. Reminds me of the saying: "Nero fiddled while Rome burned"

Five year NG contracts ...

What if they can't get a five year NG contract ?
What if the "price" is too high so there's not enough spark spread ?

We have a legislature in La-La land. They have their head...well, let' s not go there.

This is going to lead to more messy government intervention, possibly Federal, this summer.
