HK PRESS: New World Telephone Has To Face PCCW In Court
Updated: Tuesday, March 6, 2001 08:04 PM ET

HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--An appeals court has thrown out an attempt by New World Telephone to prevent PCCW-HKT International from taking it to court over a HK$375 million delivery fee dispute, meaning the case will go to trial unless NWT appeals Tuesday's decision, the South China Morning Post reports. PCCW-HKT, a unit of Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCW, news, msgs), has sued the telecom arm of New World Development (H.NWD, news, msgs) for charging delivery fees for calls that didn't terminate within its fixed networks, but rather were rerouted back to PCCW's own network.
