Futures are now up in premarket. Mark Haines says that it is due to Abbey Joseph Cohen statement this morning. Haines then comments that he doesn't know why because she hasn't been right in a a long time. Wow, that is a refreshing bit of honesty. I would like to see him play this back to her next time she is on CNBC or even to the next perma-bull they have on.

I'm in full agreement with you. Every guest hosts should be held accountable for his past stock picks.
Many of the guest hosts act as a planted audience for the "tried and true trio"
as they lampoon the latest foolish call of analyst.

As for the stock market following the analyst calls, I have been doing an unofficial study. The results that I've found have been the market really is using the analysts choices as the contrary indicator.

The next time an analysts designates a certain stock, watch how quickly it takes for the market to sell on the recommendation.
