Interesting scenario. Quite possible, I'd say. In fact, I would speculate that this is likely, but would be surprised if it happened as quickly as the next few weeks. Still, vigilance is the watchword here......

That's certainly not the hallmark of a real bottom. I'm waiting for excessive bearish sentiment, with even the bulls becoming bears, and eventually finding little or no profit in shorts and puts...... and everybody stinging from the stock market whipping, extolling the virtues of CD's, treasuries, MMF yields, and conservative, well-diversified mutual funds for a more risky investment.
