Gary,
I have been buying as much as I possibly can. I am not looking for any huge surprises with the 10K... There could be a positive bottom line for a change, but that is not of significance. Revenues should be stronger, and a modest, if not small, increase in reserves.
The key is to show continued growth and cash flow. I think this will be what the oil and gas investors "in the know" will be looking for.

Historically, the time to own this stock is just prior to a "big swing for the bleachers". Oil people just love a gamble... and they always step up for something like Costa Rica. Looks like this summer is going be exciting. The speculation will drive the stock, if solid financial performance doesn't.
I still like management... and Colombia is still a huge play for the company. Look for Los Olmos drilling this year after the 3D has been analyzed.
We should see increasing production from Bolivar (no matter that the Olivo 2 was a miss). The new Estero well will be coming online, and I have a hunch, that something is going to be done with Canacabare well.
The XPLOR acquisition has really turned out to be big winner for HEC too. Partner announcement in regard to Costa Rica could be a significant price pusher too. If they get a "significant other" to partner with them it will gain a lot of attention and provide more credence to their ideas in CR.
The stock is undervalued and another quarter of improvement should help it gain some respectability now that the reverse split has been swallowed. The last two wells that have been completed as producers provide HEC with a very nice shot of production.
I'm not betting on the 10k being a catalyst for a positive move. It could, but I am betting on the Costa Rica play creating quite a move. Did you see the February article in O&G Investor magazine?
All of this JMHO.
Good Luck,
Rod
