Sounds like a good idea. I've found that for innovative, unusual applications of solar electric, we're sort of on our own. I.e., in some ways the market for solar electricity applications/devices is wide open.

I think solar is increasing everywhere; while the market for solar panels grew 38% last year, the grid-connected portion has grown at 47% annually since 1990, and that fraction of the market is about to eclipse the off-grid (remote power for developing nations, water-pumping, etc.) market.
