They didn't mention TRW. I wonder if TRW is still involved at all?

Actually there is a new superconductor materials system that may be of interest for this application - magnesium diboride. It works at a higher temperatures than the niobium systems and may be less squirrelly than the cuprate high-temp superconductors. Maybe this contract will fund work in this promising area.
