2001 EXPLORATION PROGRAM MOBILIZING

Starfield Resources has received the final year 2000 exploration results for the Company's wholly-owned Ferguson Lake Nickel-Copper-Palladium-Platinum-Cobalt project. Since purchasing the property in March 1999, Starfield has completed over 20,000 meters of drilling in 67 holes, surveyed more than 300 line kilometers by the UTEM geophysical method, 405 line kilometers by magnetic geophysical methods and conducted detailed geological investigation at Ferguson Lake. Recent exploration results generated by Starfield compiled with 1950's results reported by Inco, give a total resource for the property of 32.4 million tonnes grading 0.86% Copper, 0.59% Nickel and 1.2 g/t Palladium/Platinum as estimated by the Company's consulting Engineer Dr. Nick Carter, Ph.D., P.Eng and reported on January 23, 2001. The new information is assisting in direction of the 2001 exploration program for Ferguson Lake, which anticipates a 40,000 meter drill program.

The West Zone massive sulphide mineralization has now been accurately traced as a strong UTEM geophysical conductor for a total length of 4.8 kilometers, extending from Section 38 West to Section 86 West. Computer-generated geophysical modeling by S.J. Geophysics, on behalf of Starfield indicates that stronger zones of sulphide mineralization may occur at depth. Intersections obtained in the deeper drill holes FL00-65,66 and 67 suggest that this interpretation is valid. The West Zone inferred resource of 28.2 million tonnes grading 0.85% Copper, 0.56% Nickel and 1.27 g/t Palladium/Platinum has been tested by over 100 drill holes. Significantly, this inferred resource occupies less than 20% of the interpreted UTEM conductor as presently defined, and includes a higher grade core of 7.2 million tonnes grading 1.08% Copper, 0.78% Nickel and 2.0g/t Palladium/Platinum. Drill holes FL00-65, 66 and 67, which were the last holes completed in December 2000, added 2.8 million tonnes of inferred resource grading 1.14% Copper, 0.77% Nickel and 2.2 g/t Palladium/Platinum to the West Zone. Significantly, this last mineralization occurs at the deepest part of the target tested to date.

The geophysical model demonstrates that these three holes intersected the sulphide zone at a level approximately midway to its probable base, and that the target sulphide unit is thickening with increasing depth. In drill hole FL00-67, for example, the total sulphide section exceeded 100 meters in width. The UTEM geophysical anomaly for the West Zone is open to expansion beyond Section 86 West.

Starfield is currently designing the next phase of exploration work to accelerate resource definition at Ferguson Lake. Initial drilling for the next campaign is planned to extend the higher grade mineralization located by drill holes FL00-65, 66 and 67 and to evaluate other targets identified by the geophysical model within the West Zone anomaly. Mobilization for the 2001 work program is underway.

The Company's recent flow-through Offering Memorandum has been subscribed in the amount of $1,939,500.00
