If your short fills @ 12 3/4, what is your thinking regarding a cover point?

In my situation, I will doubling my short. The sold basis would be: (17 + 12 3/4)/2 = 14 5/8. I would cover at 14 1/2.

However if that is the only short I have, i.e. at 12 3/4, I would cover at 14 1/8 taking around 10% to 11% loss and move on. I have to have a discipline for cutting the loss. Even though I am confident that Amazon is heading to Chapter 11, you never know if there is a big bozo rescueing bezo.

Although I put a stop, I would never place a stop order on nasdaq. witness those poor souls who placed stop order on qualcomm and was executed yesterday. A mental stop order is better: Be patient and Be Alert.

On the other hand, if Amazon keeps tanking, let it ride until just before delisted, then cover.
