No but I do live in a low crime area and unless you go fight a war or live in a high crime area the odds are against you being shot at in the rest of your life as well.

Tim,

Your kidding yourself.....there is no such thing as a bullet-proof crime area anymore. There are holdups in the most affluent neighborhoods as well as the poor ones. Its becoming common in the larger metro areas and the phenomenon is migrating down to the smaller ones like every other trend.

One of the most significant aspects of the civil disobedience in LA in the early 90's was the attempt on the part of the rioters to bring their actions to Bevery Hills. They were able to get to the borders before being repelled by the BH cops with the help of the LAPD. Yes, the LAPD was asked to help BH because the last thing LA leaders wanted the world to see was a BH on fire, subject to looters. With that action, broke the unspoken taboo that insurrection and crime would be the exclusive province of the poor.

So don't be surprised if you see a gun fight in the not too distant future....and then you will begin to realize the true cost of your NRA membership.
