I think the "enemies list" became part of the political lexicon with Nixon. I'm unaware of anyone accusing Clinton of having one.

Wil:

"You may be projecting on this administration what the previous administration would have done. If he does put together such a list it will probably be of those who have falsely accused him. "

The bottom line and I think a sure thing is that before Bush leaves the presidency there will be some type of scandal. Let's face it the government is too big and there are too many people involved in government for any president, no matter how honest to escape without a scandal during his administration and I predict will be no different. I think all on this thread would be better served if we addressed the current wrongdoing whatever it may be and not try to justify the wrongdoing of either party by bringing up the past misdeeds of the other party. The problem with this kind of justification is that we all develop the attitude that they all do it and that these ethical lapses are somehow justified. We all should have learned this lesson as a kid. Mom said: "If your friends decided to jump off a ten story building would you do it."

here we go again... the vast right wing conspiracy.... newsmax.com

I've seen this attack by the right wing before," Jackson complained to the Tribune. "It's about trying to dismember our organization…"

Now I'm not printing all the dirt and sex stories current on newsmax as it's time to move on.
