Don't get me wrong. I'm not arguing against using your credit card (cc) on the web. All what I'm saying is that it *is* unsafer than going out for lunch.

True, but you would still waste time and breath setting things straight. This happened to a friend of mine. The cc company kept on calling her demanding payment even though she had complied with the terms of the contract and the law.

How secure is the system that collects my cc# from the pump? Do you think that that system is safe from hacks?

Safer than a web site.
