To: im a survivor who wrote (32593 ) 3/7/2001 1:55:16 PM From: edamo Read Replies (2) | Respond to of 65232 keith....yes, it is beneficial to discover the "diamond in the rough"....but with rapid dissemination of news and availability of financial data to analyze, it makes things a bit more difficult to stumble over a rock and find a gem...more oft a venomous snake that you disturb... potential must be considered, but as a pragmatist and a businessman, i must question why a business has not turned a profit in four years but also has greatly increased y-o-y losses on operations. i look at their balance sheet and question the quality of assets. share price is not real...business is...continuing losses can't be sustained....look at amzn.....at some point reality catches up with you... so you and scott are ahead of the masses, i truly wish you a great reward...but try not to believe that the risk/reward is in your favor with insp, or for that matter any stock that has poor fundamentals and technicals....all you know is what "it" and "it's' management did yesterday....the very same reasoning or lack of same, by justifying valuations on potential is what decimated your and many others portfolio..... "cheap" is different then "inexpensive" or "undervalued"...reasons why some share price falls from 135 to 3.....guess some will always grasp the bull market dot com strategy... i prefer "real" companies, you mentioned atml, it has profits and cash and yes has fallen like most "real" companies from 30 to 12.......but stocks are much like balloons, the greater you inflate them, the weaker they get, and when they burst, the pieces are too small to put back together... if you own the stock below 4...why not sell the oct 5 for 1....great return on a percent basis.... a blast from the past from a believer in insp....note the "perception" commentMessage 9383884 sometimes the rocket ship takes off, sometimes you get burned as it explodes on the launching pad... still seats left to get on board.....maybe you can sit next to paul allen good luck and successful speculating... ed a.
