Absoultely, no. But probably yes if the current trend of data persists. I don't think you will like the consequences of living in a world where people continue stomping out species. Talk about being adrift in a lifeboat with nothing to eat. I really don't want to be "right".

I'm not sure how I could be shown how people are quantitatively or even qualitatively different from other things hence "more important". People that believe this usually only assert

a) they just are because of their "great achievements"
b) God made them that way

When we become our own God with genetics, we may become de facto "the most important thing" and all of this may be moot.

At this juncture, I just don't see it and I'm not being intentionally obtuse (I don't think I'm even being unintentionally obtuse). Maybe you have the data to convince me. But probably not. If it is only a belief, two of a kind doesn't beat two pair. In the grand scheme of things, they are both weak hands. So goes philosophy. As I said, I don't really hope to change your mind, just counter your pleas for continued hubris.
