Paul, I used to get all kinds of free 'engineering samples' and so did seas of engineers from companies wehe were desperate for their parts to get specced into new designs. This still goes on, but they are far more selective as they came to realize most were improperly requested. Now they are more selective. So the guy who is a friend of Intel just might not get a sample to show to Intel which would happen if there was unrestricted sampling. No point in throwing them away. Bill
