Show me ANY environmental expenditure short (other than conservation) that provides this indemnification of actual losses (genetic diversity) other than preservation of habitat. There are none. I'm not 100% sure I understand what you ar e getting at but to the extent that I do understand it I believe you are right. However I'm not sure what the relevance is. My original point was that some environmental groups have goals that would cost to much (not just in money terms but also in lost freedom). Can you show me how your idea is relevant? Tim
