it's called the honeymoon period, michael. happens in almost any relationship while the contestants are sizing each other up. give the kids a couple of days with you and you'd have been slipping them gin and downers. chucky cheese was a godsend. a damage-proof, no complaint environment.

stopped out of my sebl, 12% o'noc. took some amph and eln on margin - with stops.

Another day of big energy sector gains being mitigated by the actions of one tech stock. Yes, I'm holding BRCM.

Could today be the break that long suffering VPI fans have been waiting for? This stock has been my largest holding for some time now, and has essentially gone nowhere since I first added shares slightly less than a year ago. From a TA viewpoint, things look good. A nice symmetrical pennant had been forming. Looking at the volume over the duration of that pennant, you see a nice declining wedge there as well. A classic TA scenario. The thing with these pennants, you never know for sure which way they're going to break, when they break. Usually you can gain clues by reviewing the action of peers and sector fundamentals.
Today's action represents an upside breakout from that formation. Traditionally indicative of further upside movement in the near future.
