when entering a member's alias on This Subject Only, the two different results i received were... a) all subjects appeared b) nothing happened

scott yeah, the search engine appears a long way from being fixed. entering any word in the This Subject Only function results in either no results or hits from all subjects. maybe when you replied to august that the search engine had been fixed you were referring to a different problem. :) mark

Scott: I am writing to echo August's comments (below) on the search engine. I seldom post messages on SI but I visit and use the search function nearly every weekday. New searches in full text do not pull up current messages. Thanks, John ******************************************************** SCOTT! WHY would you throw this out with it being so full of bugs????? Let me guess. To take out minds off the font problem????? How long has that been top priority????? WHY CAN'T YOU FIX ONE THING(that was never broke in the first place) BEFORE YOU SCREW UP SOMETHING ELSE????? YOU DO realize people are leaving, Don't you? So they aren't as vocal as me.
