Comment on Lerner article:

"But now, Royal Dutch Shell's (RD: news, msgs, alerts) offer to buy Barrett (BRR: news, msgs, alerts) "changes everything" Bracken said...."

"Investors can throw caution to the wind because they no longer have to worry about short-term dips," Bracken told CBS.MarketWatch.com."

I want some of what this guy's been smoking!!!

Sounds like a refugee from the now disbanding internet research dept.??

I'm quite long natgas oriented E&Ps, so I sure hate to sound like a wet blanket. There are still an abundance of compelling valuation opportunities in this subsector, IMO. But, experience suggests that caution is never something to be "thrown to the wind", and investors always have everything to worry about.

Cautiously hoping for a healthy rally that would put many of these issues in my fair value range, and busily searching for new ideas in other areas should that happen.
