when do you buy? I feel pretty good shorting it here just north of 50 and buying it back around 40 and each couple points down from there. I'd rather be a position trader than try to call the ultimate top or bottom. I think there are some pretty strong hands who are accumulating AMAT in the high 30s so I'm not so confident that the December lows will be breached, except for the usual fake to spook the believers. They take one look at that balance sheet and it begins to look like a bank without the troubled loans, no matter how punk the order book may appear for the moment. Are they being too complacent in continuing to worship the silicon shrine?
