No, I had error 29, and it was due to one of Norton's products, either Utilities or Virus.

Something about a locked drive.

All error 29 did was give you the pop up error, but if you stayed in DI and proceeded with the restore, all was well.

If you exited, and didn't have rescue disks, you had to reinstall Windows, as the partition info for C: was gone.

If I were you, just upgrade. DI4 is much better...and it's only 29.95 and you can download the upgrade from their site.
