Maybe folks have finally realized gold miners can operate at near record production levels, reduce cash costs, replace reserves, have strong cash flow, and decent forward earnings potential even at current gold prices. I do not think gold bullion has to go up for miners to report better numbers in 2001, so gold stocks look much better than bullion (IMHO)
