Re: "Communism isn't guaranteed in the bill of rights Interesting comment. I was kinda under the impression that our forefathers liked the idea of political freedom." They did but where in the Constitution does it say Communism is guaranteed ? I can show you where in the Bill of Rights the Right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed . You back up your point. Re: "I want a nuke. The Constitution guarantees my right to have nukes, chemical weapons, machine guns, biological weapons, and anything else I think I need to defend myself" Frankly I think this is a very good point. The first amendment was extended to embrace new technology such as radio and television, so by what doctrine do we fail to extend the second? Re: "So you don't think the President has any control over the availability of weapons? What a poor impotent little man he must be" Good God Scumbria, the President has no control over my freedom of speech, he can't force me to harbor solders in my home, he can't subject me to unreasonable search, he can't run for a 3rd term, he can't perscribe the transition of power, he can't deny someone their rights based on race, religion etc etc etc. There are a whole host of things he can't do yet you want to bash him because some kid used a gun. Why don't you criticize Presidents for what they CAN but fail to do. They can stop themselves from raping. They can stop themselves from sexually assaulting women. They can stop themselves from sexually abusing women. Instead you want to bash Bush for things he has no power over.
