kerry let us know what you hear back from za, will you? and you asked if the 3 firewalls conflict with one another. no. they work fine together. what i seem to get is one wanting to be boss, and that's zonealarm. it seems to do all of the heavy lifting as far as turning back intrusion attempts. with three, it's like having more than one vehicle around the house.... sometimes one breaks down or needs work, and the other one is there to cover and pick up the slack. so i am glad that i have the other two. npf i set to block everything (my choice), unless and until i configure a rule for it. makes for a little extra work up front, but how can a security-minded user not like a firewall that does that? blackice used to be my favorite but has since dropped to third. i won't renew the product license. i may then go with either tiny personal or sygate #reply-15433648 glad you got to use the security check. :) mark
