" Paul, living in the past could be very financially painful for you...At any moment in time, wise investors must be attempting to maximize return...Just no comparison going forward, based upon virtually all current indicators, that AMD will outperform INTC on an ROI basis over the next 1 year period...and probably every year for the next 5, but let's just deal one year at a time!!! Today is the first day of the rest of your life...I'd suggest you'll be a much happier investor, as was the case last year, if you move any money you have in INTC to AMD...A strong case can be made, based upon relative product lineups, relative earnings per share power and relative growth rates that AMD could trade at 4 times INTC price within the next 2 year time frame (assuming no splits in either)!!! It's all about growth rates, comaparative price/performance advantages and eps, Paul...and AMD has INTC euchred in all 3 categories for Y2001 and, for that matter, the foreseeable future...The PWee iii is "dead meat" and the much awaited and vaunted P4, recently manifested in 1.3 gig garb, can at best be characterized as an anaemic and woeful performer relative to its Athy competitor...Yes Paul, it does seem that P4 might more aptly be tagged the "pretendium 4"...Come on Paul...Climb aboard last year's winner in the microprocessor sweepstakes...Get behind AMD and its Athy with its superlative architectural features which enable it to spin off price/performance leaders across the microprocessor spectrum of ranges...AMD's Athy provides a uniform base from which to derive future products...INTC's PWee iii is in its death throe and the "pretendium 4" is losing ground and credibility as a meaningful competitor by the day...and what's worse, no capital gains reserve to conceal much longer the reversal in fortunes of your once mighty but apparently still dearly beoved by you, INTC...Come on Paul...trying to help you out here...Jump on a winner...Buy AMD at $25 while you can...A much, much greater potential has AMD at $25 than does INTC at $33...
