Earlie,

Uncle, I hold you in the highest regard, but, on this thing of investor psychology I have to say that I do not find that it "boggles the mind". I think it hurts my brain when I recall the NASDAQ run from 4000 to 5000 and the permabears holding their longs through one of the more significant massacres in market history, but a small rally such as we have had in the face of bad news is something that our elders warned us against.

I lifeline must be stretched tight before it breaks.

Regards, Allan.

There was a big clown from CSFB or MSDW talking about YHOO today on Bubblevision. When pressed, she said that low double-digits or possibly single-digits were a possibility in the next year before YHOO turned around, so "long-term investors" should be ok.

Yeah that's good advice -- keep holding as it gets cut by another 50% and *hope* that it doubles from that point to get yourself back to today's levels!
