sales pitch revisited.... some of us have taken the symantec security test ( #reply-15461807 ), and have expressed a variety of opinions on its validity. well, okay, maybe not a variety. let's back up. some of us have expressed skepticism about symantec's reporting of browsers giving up info ("I find that the Browser Information Check tells me my browser is transmitting last site visited"). myself included. some of this skepticism naturally stems from the fact that only their own product, norton personal firewall (or norton internet security) blocks this outflow of personal info. well maybe symantec is just out there on the leading edge, patching leaks that other firewalls have not addressed? from Windows-Help.NET News..... ****************************** "Internet Explorer can Divulge Location of Cached Content Microsoft has released a patch that eliminates a security vulnerability in Microsoft® Internet Explorer and Windows Scripting Host.
