Peter, if all wireless subscribers were running around using laptops, this would be a good idea; but how are you going to fit an 802.11b card inside of a 100-120g phone? On the other hand, I do remember reading something about work being done to extend the reach of Bluetooth chipsets to 50m. However, I believe that such chipsets would be relatively larger, and thus, for the time being, would be limited to use in devices such as PCs, networking equipment, etc.
