keith...and so he spoke: "to get ahead in this world you must take risks" and
"failures in the market have occurred due to greed"

read what you post....your "failures" are considered "greed" motivated, and your "success" is backed by "risk taking"

in essence you failed, not because of "greed", but by continuing to "take risk" and not lose "opportunity"....one and the same, be it business, investing or life...

"risk" must always be calculated and skewed toward a strong probability of success....or else it is a gamble....risk is in all that one does, nothing is certain....

maybe in my next life, i will become a "risk taker"....

good luck...ed a.

p.s...cmgi and icge at the moment i wouldn't touch.....but i did take a calculated risk on cmgi in 1999 when it was in an upward momentum mode: bought 2000 @ 79 0n 8/5/99 net 158025/ sold 1500 presplit at 303 3/16 on 1/4/00 net 454739.59/ sold 1000 postsplit @ 117 on 2/10/00 net 116969.60....net profit for six months 413684.10...i'm not greedy, i take profits.....i look for dollar returns, not percent returns, and don't mind paying cap gains, be they short or long...
