Money is VERY important up to a certain point. Unfortunately for me I did not keep that "point" when I had it. I'm consoling myself because I can still build a (much smaller) house on the land that we've bought and I can still buy a xcountry ski pass and I can still babysit my grandchildren. But my ability to take trips, help our my daughter, even get the best doctors and dentists when I need them, is all compromised now. So money is important and I should have preserved it. And there are many things I now have to "leave alone" because I can no longer afford them, that would enhance my life if I still could.
