the NAZ has a gap dating from Oct. 8 1998. many individual issues, also Dow stocks, gapped in Oct. '98. they may well be on the way to filling the gap, but check where they have been in the meantime...

The key is to pay attention to every word in the adage: "All gaps are filled...eventually." I don't think the HM gap above 5 is going to be filled for a couple of years.
