**OT**

But then, who cares on this thread? OT topics are about all there is to talk about. And, actually, discussion of a disaster is really on topic for this stock!

The weekend is upon us on Thursday morning? Guess when you're driving home from Seattle, once you reach Mt. Venon you say "we're almost home," eh?? <g>

I rode it out on the 2nd floor of a non-earthquake proof office building, along with a client and her two children. They knew what it was right away and dashed to get under a desk -- well trained at school! I just stood stupified while my tea rippled in its mug and my body felt like somebody let loose a vibrator under my feet. Very weird.

Just waiting for the "big one" when the power cables from the mainland snap and we're without power for months. Happened once back 30 or so years ago -- the military brought in big generators and they powered up each section of the island for a few hours a day so you could get your laundry done, cook a hot meal, etc. Today, with our greatly increased population and power usage needs, that would hardly work. But those cables don't come off the shelf -- have to be ordered months in advance and specially made. So . . .
