<<why "speculate", >>

Because sometimes....mind you, sometimes....speculation pays off big.

<<would you buy a business that has lost money continually because it is "cheap" >>

Not for that reason alone, BUT if I thought it had the potential to do well in the future, then yes, I would take advantage of it being cheap. Just being cheap, wont cut it for me....I must see potential, and If I see potential, the "cheap" part is simply a bonus.

Look around and listen.....there is so much talk now of this company aquiring that company and etc, etc....prices/valuations have come down so drastically, many companies are taking advantage or trying to take advantage of snapping up companies with potential, while they are dirt cheap......I see many large companies buying smaller companies that don't make a profit......why would they do that? because of the potential. No different then me buying a stock because I feel it has future potential. I see possible opportunity....nothing certain mind you, just possible opportunity, simple as that.

lastly, I thought the idea was to buy low and sell high....well, I bought low and am hoping to sell high. Will I? I dont know...if the stock(s) cooperate, then yes I will, but the bottom line is I am simply buying possible potential.....simple as that.......some are riskier then others.

It is the speculation that is contributing to the volatility in this area. I, too, am amazed at the excess that still seems to be present.
