The estimate when I bought Q was 18(forward) in oct 98 the stock was at around 39 pre 6 splits.

Gotta agree with MM....my memory was that Q had a PE below 20 during the fall of '98. Of course, their were a variety of stocks that were selling for very low PE's during that time. I think TI was selling right around 20 also....
