Role reversal completed...INTC has "owned" just such a position over the years...Now that AMD owns this position, judging by INTC's actions and performance over the past year, they appear to be squirming bigtime,by just about any barometer other than Paul, their beloved devotee ...

AMD is in a position where they can push the low end out of reach of PIII or Celeron.

What kind of sucks is that we could have been there a year ago. AMD could have started selling cacheless Athlon as Duron starting Q1 of 2001. Effectively, AMD deprived itself of almost 1 year of the life of the K7 processor in the low end market.
