I think you're right. I haven't used Napster.

I also think people are rebelling against the Music cartel. I remember how they forced us to buy CD players when they acted in unison to end LP's - and they charged more for CD's even though they were cheaper to produce.

People don't want to spend $12-20 for one good song and a bunch of crap. If the Music cartel wants to stop much of the underground activity it should do what the motion picture industry did - drop their prices. Then people wouldn't bother and the only real loser would be the middleman.
