Jerome,
You confuse communism and marxism. Marxism became both socialism(democratic) as well as communism. Marxist analysis is often usefuls in studying history regardless of ones feelings on socialism/communism. What I should have said is that liberal ideology regarding taxes seems to say that all(much) money earned above what they as individuals earn should be confiscated(taxed at ever higher rates) by the state. When liberals have a windfall in earnings they too often complain. When liberals see more and more of their taxable income being taxed at 40% they become conservatives. I am neither liberal or conservative or marxist for that matter. I am trying to maximize economic growth with some social justice. Jerome, Fred, and Cary are not the only ones who care about others. I believe economic growth is job 1 as a rising tide lifts all boats. Mike
