Oh for goodness sakes! One day Csco says that optical orders are picking up and three days later John Chambers says that the company is seeing the slowdown spread to other areas of the world and has to have a significant layoff. Optical sales represent less than 10% of Csco sales and the optical sales should see a rebound before the other areas of csco biz, so perhaps the optical side is ok. I'd feel better if David Rickey said that the turns biz was improving at amcc. TA
