Attitude: seek balance, eschew emotional extremes - be equally suspicious of euphoria and depression. Contrary (as my mom always told me) by nature, I tend to "lean against the wind" - and have found it profitable. A year ago I was frightened; now I'm getting encouraged.wary, opportunistic flexibility Wary because when money is involved it's prudent to be so. Opportunistic in the sense of being sensitive to and vigilant for the opportunities that are always there. For me opportunistic is that balance point between getting anxiously eager and "jumping the gun" and being paralyzed by indecision and "doing nothing". Of course opportunity depends strongly upon a particular individuals approach to the market. Believing that no one technique will always work, I try to first develop a market view and then "go from there". While I attempt to play different games depending upon the market conditions, there is nothing wrong with just "stepping back" if the current market conditions are unfavorable for one's preferred technique. IMO, your current proclivity for CC writing is wise. Just watch for whipsaws and also remember between now and June, there is likely to be a significant move depending upon how the second half economy starts to unfold. On a more ltb&h timescale two or three years from now, the current prices of many of this threads favs will (IMO) be viewed as bargains. As stated earlier all JMO and FWIW. lurqer
