You are doing what I call encapsulating the issue. As long as you frame it as you have you are correct. Your presumption is that a union is just between the two united people and everyone else is outside of that and completely uneffected by it. You are denying that there are lifestyle issues, education issues, cultural effects, etc. When people of this population decided to come "out" and legitimize their relationships, they made a decision to make their relationship everyone's business. There is a large, public, agenda attached to all of this. You may think it is healthy, other people may have other opinions. People have opinions on every kind of relationship. My family members may not like who I made a union with. I may disagree with them. But to claim it has no effect on them or that it is none of their business is not true. To say that the inclusion of lifestyles and politics into the system is not doing anything to the members of that system, is not true. For you to forbid anyone from voicing a negative opinion about a major societal change....is wrong.
