Bob: <<about $120 of CU and $5 of AU per ton (aka a COPPER MINE) with a tiny amount of gold byproduct.>>

Your figures look pretty good to me :^) However, I'm not so sure that the gold byproduct is so tiny. Wouldn't 0.5 gpt of AU over these sort of intercepts be quite significant as a credit against the copper?

As you say, Metallica has its excellent Cerro San Pedro gold-silver deposit just waiting for higher gold prices. The great thing about this discovery is that it ensures that MR will still be around when the POG finally does get back to $325 or so.

Howy

< seems reasonable to me that gold investors would miss the importance of the results.>

Well, I sure hope gold investors aren't missing these because it is necessary to do CU or MO calc. After all, some of the best prospects in the world (Chile, Argentina, Peru, Canada) have this mineral mix. I really don't mind that there is no competition for buying these stocks (unchanged, at least long enough for me to get in) after this kind of news. I just find it very odd, that's all.
