advalorem: I disagree. Anyone could predict weakness in Cree's market. What technology company has not been affected by the economy? Everyone has preannounced. Greenberg is wrong. He is simply parotting what his short-selling friends tell him to say. His calls have to do with Charles and Covard, which we all know is an old, not relevant issue. So Greenberg was correct to short Cree. Did he short Sun? Cisco? Oracle? Where were his short friends? Long term, Cree will prove Greenberg wrong, and make LTBH investors a lot of money.wj

Greenberg and Rocker Partners do their homework you have to give credit where credit is due. They have a very strong track record and usually won't come public with their short picks unless they are quite confident. Have seen this play out with IOM, CUBE and others. I did quite well trading CREE last year...actually was my best performer. However fortunately just traded it. Sold my last position at a loss just before year end.

I may get back in at some point when the dust settles. No urgency to buy here with all this volume and fall to new lows...

Good investing to you...
