shouldnt he be forced to buy the crap he touts?? >>>>

why?...this argument makes little sense to me. blodget, for all his shortcomings, and there are many, is not a money manager - he is an analyst and paid to bring in underwriting revenue to his firm (to which he is primarily devoted to). With all his bad analysis, the individuals who purchased his recommendations are just as much at fault as you may consider him to be. i don't hear anybody sreaming at barton biggs for being so bearing for the past several years or at joe battapaglia or abby cohen. go ahead and force all analysts to take a personal position in their recommendations and you will have dozens of 'strong buys' on money market funds. the stock market involves risk; if we were at ndx 6000+, this discussion would have never taken place.
