OT: another stuck-key story. A few weeks ago I was trying to boot my computer, and each time the process was interrupted and the computer-case itself kept emitting a horrible alarm-type noise that had me truly panicked (sounded like it was warning of a bomb about to go off). Finally, after about a half-dozen re-booting efforts (and even going into "Safe" mode and trying all kinds of other things that I had no business doing), I thought to actually look at the screen as the computer was attempting to boot -- only to see a line that clearly said, as the alarm sounded, "there is a stuck key on your keyboard." In fact, it wasn't even stuck -- I had just somehow managed to let a stack of papers rest on a corner-key, pushing it down slightly. Just another example of how it helps to pay attention to the bootup-readout... Vagabond

See what happens whey you have hanky panky on the computer table near the keyboard???? That happened to me once, and I had to throw the whole damn keyboard out, along with the service contract!
