Wally, Thanks for your informational posts. It's much appreciated. On the one hand, the downward spiral of Japan's economy has been slow enough to allow global markets to take it into account. On the other hand, Japan is such a dominant player in the global markets that it could have a drag on our economy just at at time when recession looms. It seems to me that our own economy is teetering on the edge of recession and any external stimulus may rock the boat. If AG is right, productivity may be the only thing holding our heads above water and it might not be enough to offset other forces.
