Dear John:

The "C" everyone refers to is the Bus Speed Indicator. It is "B" for 200MHz FSB and "C" for 266MHz FSB. Would "D" mean 300MHz or 333MHz? Probably the only ways to tell stepping is by one of the other codes or a die size shrink.

I hope this clears it up.

BTW:
I ordered an 1.2GHz/266FSB Athlon earlier this week. I also ordered an IWILL KK266-R motherboard and an Enlight 7237 ATX case with 300W AMD approved PS. Should get it by Friday or most likely Monday. It should fly with the 256MB of Kingmax PC150 CAS-2 memory and the 80GB Maxtor IDE drive.
